I love all these genres I think the only music I actively dislike is that sorta 00's landfill indie it's all either middle-class british men pretending to be working-class british men or just beige and uninteresting even then there's some gems though SOME

had a dream where Estelle, wanting to distance herself from Kanye West for obvious reasons, quietly had all digital versions of "American Boy" replaced with a remix featuring a haunting and experimental countermelody by Philip Glass

the general structure of the song was unchanged IIRC so it was just like. "take me to New York I want to see~ L.~ A.~" followed by a straight minute of some Silent Hill type shit that was at once baffling and deeply compelling

this would be so good maybe it can be Made

Glaze is out!

Tired of having your artwork used for AI training but find watermarks dismaying and ineffective?

Well check this out! Software that makes your Art look messed up to training AIs and unusable in a data set but nearly unchanged to human eyes.

I just learned about this. It's in Beta. Please read all the information before using.

1/ This might be the most important oil painting I’ve made: Musa Victoriosa The first painting released to the world that utilizes Glaze, a protective tech against unethical AI/ML models, developed by the @UChicago team led by @ravenben. Art thieves already hate it:

this is amazing and I hope it continues to make it harder to steal artists’ work and devalue entire fields of human creativity.

orthogonal to the purpose of the software, but imo this also (again) demonstrates that when not used as a plagiarism machine, AI can make some pretty great things by virtue of just being a janky weird pattern-spotting machine. Like that “fails to mimic artist” thumbnail is far, far more interesting than any successful attempt to copy the artist would’ve been

(to clarify, fuck AI as a tool to steal artists’ labour)

This is an incredibly important hypothetical:

If you could permanently and magically change yourself to have animal-like features (of your choice: anything from being a full dragon to having bunny ears and a tail) would you? this is irreversible, but it isn't socially unacceptable or strange.

I'm trans and yes

I'm trans and no wtf

I'm cis and yes

I'm cis and no wtf

Also put your answer and what you would be in the tag if you feel like it

oh I mean bunny ears/tail obv maybe paws also though that would make playing musical instruments problematic
